The Saint Paul-itics series aims to increase awareness about local and national issues and encourage civic involvement.
Saint Paul-itics will:
- Create an informed citizenry and provide a forum for Saint Paul residents to discuss the democratic process.
- Help Saint Paul residents find ways to connect to the national excitement and interest in the Twin Cities that hosting the RNC will create.
- Create opportunities for those interested in politics to connect to others with like interests and to expand their base of knowledge.
Why is the Library doing this?
Saint Paul-itics is a series to inspire groups and individuals to get involved in the democratic process.
The Saint Paul Public Library is as a non-biased agency that offers balanced information about current issues, political candidates, and political parties.
The Saint Paul Public Library offers events and resources to help residents gain confidence in political decisions that impact the future.
The Saint Paul Public Library’s programs, books, DVDs, magazines are great resources to connect individuals and groups to their civic interests.

I do think Saintpaulitics is baised since I looked up the upcoming speakers: Halperin (former Clinton supporter), Susan Estrich (form Hillary supporter), Harry Boyte (supportive article about Obama), Hauser (not sure but most journalists are democratic voters), Bill Arnold, not sure where he stands but I will guess like most entertainers he leans left. So, it the library non-baised. I don’t think so. I did not see one book on conservative values in you listing either.
